A Pennsylvania call center operator plans to lay off 135 nonunion workers at its office in North Highlands.

In a standard “WARN Act” letter to the California Employment Development Department, Berwyn, Pa.-based Advanced Call Center Technologies LLC said the layoffs at 4837 Watt Ave. will be effective May 30.

The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act requires large businesses to give early warning of layoffs and closures.
