California just lost another company headquarters to another state.

This time its AutoAlert, an Irvine, Calif.-based tech firm, that will relocate its headquarters to Kansas City, Missouri. The firm offers automotive software tools for management and communications.
With plans to create 300 area jobs in coming years, AutoAlert CEO Mike Dullea said, "Our company is raising the bar to bring high paying tech jobs right to the heart of Kansas City.
