Daegis Inc., the Roseville-based information management and eDiscovery company, said it in its fiscal year-end financial release that it will move its headquarters to Texas to “optimize its cost structure.” It is the second publicly traded local company in recent years to move to Texas.
The company was started in 1980 and went public in 1996. It currently employs 32 people locally, down from 42 a year ago.
Only the executive staff will move to Texas, and it is expected the Roseville office will have about 25 employees once a Dallas headquarters is established, which is expected by the end of the year, said Deb Thornton, spokeswoman with the company.
