SACRAMENTO — As the saying goes, when you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, it’s easy to know the one you hit: the one yelping. It’s a metaphor for political events. Sure enough, we’re hearing loud complaints from prominent interest groups in Sacramento this week following the likely qualification of a bond-related initiative for the November 2016 ballot.
The head of the California Chamber of Commerce called it “deceptive and dangerous.” Others warn it will make California vulnerable after an earthquake. This is amazing for something that until this week didn’t register on anyone’s Richter scale.
