A Fortune 500 company that distributes tobacco products and other items nationwide to convenience stores and other retailers is moving its headquarters from California to Dallas-Fort Worth.
San Francisco-based Core-Mark Holding Co. plans to relocate to Westlake next year. One of Core-Mark’s biggest clients is Irving-based 7-Eleven Inc.

Core-Mark traces its roots to a San Francisco tobacco shop in 1888. The company had record annual sales of $15.7 billion in 2017, and ranked 247th on the 2018 Fortune 500 list.
Core-Mark serves 45,000 customer locations in the U.S. and Canada, including convenience stores; grocers; drug, big box and supercenter stores; liquor stores; and specialty stores.
It will become the 23rd Fortune 500 company to call North Texas home.
